Qual he o temperamento do ar, que convem milhor ao Canamo.

O Canamo naõ cresce tambem nos paizes quentes, como nos climas temperados, e se cria muito melhor nos Paizes frigidissimos, como o Canada, Riga, &c.: os quaes produzem abundancia de Linho, que he o melhor. Se emprega todos os annos huma grande quantidade do Canamo de Riga, em França, em Inglaterra, e principalmente em Hollanda.

Qual he a terra, mais propria para o Canamo.

He preciso para o Canamo huma terra branda, facil de lavrar, e hum pouco ligeira: porém fertil, e bem estercada.
